We were requested to design a store that would sell Turkish delight and Baklava in Amman. The store was too narrow and long that we decided to create a repetitive form of green arches to break the tunnel effect. The ground floor is designed fully as sales area while all the facilities like the kitchen, toilets, and office spaces are located on the upper floor. The display units were put on one side and the other wall is cladded fully with mirror to widen the space. At the back of the store a small bar is located for the customers who would enjoy a coffee while waiting for their orders to be prepared. The hexagonal tiles, arches and green color are used as a modern interpretation of traditional Turkish design.
